About me
Background
I am from Coconut Creek, FL which is a little bit north of Fort Lauderdale. I grew up in South FL, so I've always loved going to the beach and enjoying nature. I love walking on the beach or finding trails around Gainesville. I also love game-days and football. Some of my hobbies are thrifting and cooking! I love to shop and try to find second-hand items, and I've also recently started learning how to sew. I love traveling, so this Summer 2022 study abroad in Italy has been such a great experience.
Education & Research
I am going into my fourth year at the University of Florida studying health science with a minor in disabilities in society. I am currently involved in research under Dr. Wang in her Neurocognitive and Behavioral Development lab. My goal is to gain experience in a research/lab setting along with advancing my knowledge on ASD. With this experience along with volunteer work, I plan to become to have a career in the health-care field where I can help others on a day-to-day basis.
Involvement
Working with children with disabilities has been a great experience through many of the organizations I work with in Gainesville. At balance 180, I help children ages 2-8 with disabilities with their social, motor, and functional abilities through games, sports, and teamwork. At Horses Helping People (HOPE), I work one on one with an OT and children with autism or other disabilities to work on motor and social ability through working with the horses as well. These are just two experiences I hold close to my heart that have inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. The resume link below displays my other volunteer and leadership experience!

Current Travels
Currently I am on the UF in Florence - Local to Global Perspectives study abroad program. I have had the opportunity to travel all around Italy and see the differences in the food, culture, and community in each place I have visited. Check out the travels section on this site to see more about this experience!
